Lava Beds and Crater Lake NP 19. - 23.12. 08
Just a few days before Christmas Eric and I went to see a national monument, Lava Beds, in northern California. This park is not well-known and has only a few visitor during winter. Lava flows created interesting caves here. We spent about two and a half days walking, crawling and admiring these beautiful formations. Before we went back to the Bay area we decided to head farther north to Crater Lake National Park in Oregon. The drive here was quite an experience! The road was covered with snow so it felt like driving through a snow fairyland! At Crater Lake we were very lucky; although we were told that the Lake is rarely visible during winter we had a great day with blue skies!

Par dni pred Vanocemi Eric a ja jsme se vydali do narodniho monumentu v severni Kalifornii - Lava beds. Tento park neni moc znamy a pres zimu nema mnoho navstevniku. Lava tady vytvorila zajimave jeskyne. My jsme stravili asi dva a pul dne chozenim, lozenim a obdivovanim techto zajimavych utvaru.
