Jarek Nohavica in Silicon Valley! It was great concert which is not possible to describe if you weren't there! I think I have seen more Czech Artists in California than when I was at home, and this was the best so far!

Jarek Nohavica v Silicon Valley! Byl to neuveritelny zazitek, ktery je tezky popsat pokud jste na koncerte nebyli! Myslim ze jsem videla vice Ceskych umelcu tady v Kaliforniii nez doma, a tento koncert byl zatim ten nejlepsi!

Yosemite Valley 18. - 19. 10. 2008

Yosemite NP is one of my favorite spots in the World so when I got headache from all the stress at school I knew where to go! I did quite a few hikes from valley and many of them a few times, so I was happy to hike the Glacier Point from Valley, which I haven't done yet and the second day I just relax by the Mirror lake which wasn't lake at this time of year at all.... I HAD A GREAT TIME! :-)

Yosemite NP je jeden z mych nejoblibenejsich mist na zemi a tak kdyz jsem dostala bolehlav ze stesu ve skole, hned jsem vedela kam jet! Uz jsem zvladla par tur z udoli a docela dost z nich i nekolikrat a tak jsem byla docela rada, kdyz jsem si vyslapla na Glacier Point z udoli, coz jsem jeste predtim nesla. Druhy den jsem jen relaxovala u Mirror lake - jezera, ktere v tuto rocni dobu vubec nebylo jezerem..... MELA JSEM PROSTE SUPER! :-)

So for those who didn't hear my big news yet - I found a teaching possition at middle school and I teach computers! Of course I had to find a new place to live and here are a few photos (really just a few - I need to start to take more photos again :-)) from the housewarming party....

Tak pro ty, ke kterym se jeste nedonesla moje velka novinka - ucim na zakladni skole, druhy stupen pocitace! Samozrejme jsem si musela najit nove misto k bydleni a tady je par fotek (skutecne jen par - musim zase zacit fotit vice) z me "kolaudace" meho noveho bytecku.

Lyons Lake 22.9. 2008

This backpacking trip was really lazy one. Not many miles and not too big elevation.... but it was great relaxing weekend. We - Martin, Lakshan, Justin and I went to Desolation Wildneress to see two lakes - Lyons and Silvia Lake, both beautiful. For Lakshan and Justin it was their first backpacking trip, so we couldn't really destroy them....:-)

Tento vylet byl skutecne docela lenivy. Ani ne velka vzdalenost ani velke prevyseni... alespon to byl docela pohodovy vikend. Martin, Lakshan, Justin a ja jsme se vydali do Desolation Wildneress ke dvema jezerum - Lyons a Silvia, obe prekrasne. Pro Lakshana a Justina to byl jejich prvni backpack a tak jsme je nemohli znicit....

Hamilton Lake - Sequoia NP - 30.8. - 1.9.08

Backpack to Hamilton Lake in Sequoia NP was full of bears! We saw in our group of 6 people 7 bears, which two of them visited our campground. The hike was full of beautiful views too. We hiked about 8.5 miles the first day, the second day we just took food for one day and hiked to the Hamilton lake and back - together 13 miles and the last day we hiked 8.5 miles back.

Vyslap k jezeru Hamilton v Narodnim parku Sequioa byl plny medvedu! V nasi skupine o 6 lidech jsme videli dohromady 7 medvedu, z toho dva v nasem taboristi! Vyslap byl take plny nadhernych vyhledu! Prvni den jsme sli 13.6 km, druhy den jsme si vzali jen jidlo na denni turu a sli jsme k jezeru Hamilton a zpet - 20.8 km a posledni den jsme se vratili tech 13.6 km zpet.

Russian River 26. - 27. 7. 2008

I spent one relaxing weekend at Russian River. On Saturday we drove up there and visited Korbel winery which has roots in Bohemia - today Czech Republic. On Sunday we rented kayaks and slowly floated on Russian river for about 16 miles!

Stravila jsem odpocinkovy vikend na Russian rece. V sobotu jsme vyrazili a navstivili vinny sklep Korbel, ktery ma zaklady na uzemi dnesni Ceske republiky. V nedeli jsme si pujcili kajaky a pomalu sjely Russian reku - asi 16 mil.
