Chewing Gum lake - Emigrant Wilderness 26.-28. 7. 2016

One of my favorite activities is backpacking. Since last summer I was pregnant, I haven't been in the Sierras for almost 2 years. I was really looking forward to this trip. We chose relatively easy destination, not too far from the trailhead. Even though we tried to pack lightly, with a baby our backpacks were quite heavy. We camped at Pinecrest campground the night before and started our hike around 10:30 am. We stopped about every 30 minutes to rest and arrived to the lake around 2 pm. We found a nice campsite and set up a tent. I went for a swim, because it was so hot. The second day we went for a day hike. First we were planning on going to another lake, but we changed our mind and hike to a high place with a view, where we ate our lunch. The afternoon we spent by the lake again. On our last day we hiked out after breakfast. The backpacks were slightly lighter, so we were able to walk faster. :)

Jedna z mych oblibenych aktivit jsou vylety pres noc do hor. Jelikoz jsem minuly rok byla tehotna, tak jsem v horach Sierra takto nebyli skoro 2 roky. Hodne jsem se tesila na tento vylet. Vybrali jsem si relativne jednoduchy cil, ne prilis daleko od silnice. I kdyz jsme se pokusili zabalit se na lehko, s miminem byly batohy docela tezke. Noc pred vyslapem jsme stanovali v kempu Pinecrest a na vyslap jsme vyrazily kolem 10:30. Zastavovali jsme asi kazdych 30 minut na prestavu a k jezeru jsme dorazili kolem druhe odpoledne. Nasli jsme hezke misto na stanovani a postavili stan. Ja jsem si sla zaplavat, protoze bylo docela horko. Druhy den jsme vyrazili na denni vyslap. Nejdrive jsme planovali jit k jinemu jezeru, ale nakonec jsme si to rozmysleli a nasli si pekne misto na kopci s vyhledem, kde jsme poobedvali. Odpoledne jsme stravili opet u jezera. Dalsi den, ktery byl nas posledni jsme po snidani vyrazili zpet. Batohy byly mirne lehci, tak jsme sli trochu rychleji. :)

Rancheria - Huntington Lake Camping 15. -17. 7. 2016

This was our second camping with families with kids. This time, most of the families who came were our friends before we had Adam! It is nice to be able to keep in touch with our old friends while making new ones!  It was very relaxing weekend. On Saturday we did short hike to Rancheria falls, on Sunday we did about 5 mile hike toward Kaiser Peak, stopped at nice spot with views for lunch and then go back.

Toto bylo nase druhe kempovani s rodinami s detmi. Tentokrat jsme se kamaradili s vetsinou rodin jeste predtim nez se Adamek narodil! Bylo to pekne travit cas se starymi kamarady a zaroven navazovat nove pratelstvi! Byl to klidny vikend. V sobotu jsme sli na kratkou prochazku k vodopadum Rancheria, v nedeli jsme pak sli na asi 8 km vyslap smerem ke Kaiser peak, zastavili jsme na hezkem miste s vyhledem na obed a pak jsme sli zpet.

Lassen NP 1. - 4. 7. 2016

Camping is one of the easier option how to get into mountains. I managed to get a group campsite at Lassen NP. My original plan was going camping with our child free friends, but nobody was interested. So I opened the invitation to families with young kids. Some of our old friends joined us and we also made new friends.
Eric hasn't been to Lassen NP before. On Saturday we drove through the park and made a few stops for short hikes. On Sunday we went up to Lassen peak.
We had a great time and hoping to make this type of camping a tradition!

Kempovani je jednou z jednodussich moznosti jak se dostat do hor. Podarilo se me ziskat misto na kempovani pro vetsi skupinu. Muj puvodni plan byl jet kempovat s kamarady co deti nemaji, ale nikdo nemel zajem. Tak jsem pozvani rozsirila na rodiny s malymi detmi. Nekteri stari kamaradi se pridali a take jsme se skamaradili s novymi lidmi.
Eric jeste v narodnim parku Lassen nebyl. V sobotu jsem projeli park a udelali par zastavek na kratsi prochazky. V nedeli jsem se vydali na horu Lassen.
Meli jsme se bajecne a doufame, ze tento typ kempovani bude tradici!
