Trinity Alps is a good destination if I am not very organized and I don't reserved any permits in advanced. On the other hand it is quite a long drive (6+ hours). This Memorial weekend we chose Union lake as our destination. The lake itself didn't have very amazing views, but we got our solitude. Except for one family that camped there too, we didn't see any other person. On top of that, the family shared with us two small fish that they caught. We also went for day hike to another lake with great vistas.

Do Trinity Alps jezdime vetsinou kdyz nezvladnu zajistit povoleni hodne dopredu. Na drunou stranu je to dlouha cesta (vice jak 6 hodin). Tento prodlouzeny vikend jsme zvolili Union lake nasim cilem cesty. Jezero samotne nema uzasne vyhledy, ale zato jsme tam byli sami. Krome jedne rodiny, ktera tam taky stanovala, jsme nevideli nikoho jineho. A jeste k tomu se ta rodina s nami podelila o dve male ryby, ktere chytili. Take jsme si udelali denni vyslap k dalsimu jezeru, ktere melo uzasne vyhledy do okoli.
